What to include

So we can fix things in one go, send your store’s .myshopify.com address, a link to a product page where you expect the badge, and a screenshot if something looks wrong. Never send a password; we don’t need one.

Ideas are welcome too. Put “Idea” in the subject and tell us what you were trying to do. The small, boring features merchants ask for are the ones that get built.

Common questions

How do I add the badge to my product page?

From the app’s Home page, use Open theme editor: it opens your theme with the block ready to add to the product template. Save, and the badge is live.

By hand: in Shopify admin go to Online Store, Themes, Customize. Choose a product template at the top, click Add block inside the product information section, pick Ships-in badge under Apps, drag it where you want it, and save. If you use several product templates, add the block to each one.

The badge isn’t showing

The badge hides itself when a product has no time to show. Check that you have set a store default in Settings, or given that product (or a rule that matches it) a time on the Products page.

If a time is set, make sure the block was added to the product template that product actually uses, and that you saved the theme. If you switched themes, add the block to the new theme too.

How do I move or restyle it?

In the theme editor, drag the Ships-in badge block up or down inside the product information section. The block’s settings let you change the format, hide the icon, pick a text size and alignment, set a custom colour and adjust the space above and below.

Which time wins when a product matches several?

A variant’s own time beats the product’s. A product’s own time beats any rule. Among rules, the one with the lowest priority number wins (if two share a number, the older rule wins). A rule beats the store default. The Products page shows which rule set each time, with an Edit rule button.

“Ships by” shows a later date than I expected

Times in business days skip the days you don’t ship and the holidays you added in Settings. Orders placed after your cutoff count from the next day. Dates are worked out in your store’s time zone, so a shopper far away may see the day change at a different hour than you do. The Settings page shows what the badge reads right now.

Can I change the wording or translate it?

Yes. In the theme editor, the block’s Wording section has the three sentence formats and every word the badge uses (“business days”, “weeks”, “today” and so on). Edit them in any language; the dates themselves already follow the shopper’s language.

How does billing work?

Plans are billed by Shopify and appear on your regular Shopify bill. Pick a plan on the app’s Plans page; Shopify shows the price and asks you to approve it. Starter and Pro start with a 7-day free trial. To stop paying, switch back to Free on the Plans page or uninstall the app. For refund questions, email us and we will sort it out with Shopify.

What happens when I uninstall?

The badge and its block disappear from your theme at once; no theme code is left behind. The app’s access to your store ends immediately. Your settings, rules and product times are kept for 48 hours in case you reinstall, then deleted. The privacy policy has the details.

Does the badge slow down my store or track shoppers?

No. It is a few kilobytes served by Shopify’s own content network, rendered first by your theme and then kept in step with the chosen variant. It sets no cookies and sends nothing anywhere.
